Your 2009/10 Hit List...

Well its the time for resolutions and all that...

I've not been climbing since start of December and plan to not climb until start of February.. Basically to rest, get the body fixed up and get remotivated...

But I like to set myself goals and I figured other people would have them as well...

So here is my "to do" list for 2010

1. Tick Cave Man (V10 @ Hollow Mountain Cave).. This thing has been kicking my ass for too long.. I never try it long enough to work out a sequence and remember it.. This thing HAS to go down before April 12 (my bday)

2. Get from 74kg back down to my fighting weight at 68kg

3. Build the Moon Wall at home that I keep talking about doing

4. Onsight a 25 sport route

5. Redpoint 3 grade 26 sport routes

6. Go climbing in Rocklands, South Africa

7. Tick 8a or 8A by end of the year...

I think Fred Nicole and Klem Loskott would possibly disagree.

And perhaps a Mr Moon in his day?

But, in his day, Mr Moon had 12kg of dreadlocks on his scone. Bugger all this Moon board crapola. His real training secret was those dreads. Once he shaved them off he simply floated up problems.

Well this is no exactly a year since i've started climbing and it has been a big learnring curve. Many improvements have however, occured.

My 4 main goals for the year are:

1. Fully recover from my current knee injury
2. Tick 20, trad!
3. Tick 25 sport *by march*
4. Harden the F*#? up and get used to killer exposure!

Goal focus is bad for you man.

My goal for this year is to remain process focussed. Journey more important than the destination and all that.

Araps:
The Rack
Salem
Jackel
Tannin
and to be able to do the freekin first move on that grade 20 thing just to the left of the end of the rap on R watchtower. You know the jump to the large peapod jug. I try evertime I walk past it and always slide off.

Buffalo
Where Angels fear to tread

Nowra
anything over 18 - this places and all its slopers kill me, not a crack line in sight!

Point Perp
Grey mist

in general, onsight my first trad 20 (perferably the best protected, grossly overgraded one I can find)
