Hi Robb,

Please note that ACGA (Australian Climbing Gyms Association) does not exist anymore. The then
two associations, ACGA & ASCF (Aust. Sport Climbing Federation) amalgamated back in 2004 (i think
that was the year) to form SCA, Sport Climbing Australia. However... SCA does not do training for
facilities or there staff.

The most common (to my knowledge, perhaps there are more courses/variations) is Certificate 4 in
artificial climbing structures and operations. I know of several people who've done this course via
John Norman (former owner of The Pitch climbing gym in Sydney and former ACGA President). I
think he's still running a few portable climbing walls for events around the Sydney area but sorry i don't
have contact details for him.
