Two Victorian guides rocked up at Frog for a week with one client. What the? That's right, the client must be loaded. One guide leads, the other guide seconds and cleans and then they set up a top rope for the client to climb. What the? Who pays to bring up two guides from Victoria for a weeks climbing at Frog. What the?
This all could have been a story so that they wouldn't have to include Clint for a climb. Ah well, Clint decided to have a weekend of solo aid climbing. More than one way to skin a cat.

Speaking of Frog, I have three friends from Adelaide planning to climb there next weekend. Given the fire risk conditions in Queensland at the moment, is the NP open? Would you expect it to be open next weekend?
I'd always associated bushfires more with SA than Qld and was surprised to find a locked gate when I turned up at Mt French early in '01. So I like to check these days.

Thanks for that. They can climb at Frog if it's open or go surfing if it's not.

Could check with NP ranger, but I guess they can't really tell what this weather is going to do either.
