I suspect a fair proportion of British climbers don't realise there are cliffs that big in the UK! There are actually even larger cliffs on various islands around Scotland (St. Kilda, Shetland, the Hebrides) as well as some superb larger crags on the mainland (Creag an Dubh Loch and the Shelterstone crag are probably the best known - I can vouch for the quality of both if you can avoid the midges and the worst of Scotland's weather!!)
