>Councils are employed/only interested in local rate payers Hey! No we're not. Councils do a lot for the community in general - whether rate payers or no. Councils do a lot of social work - mostly with people who aren't rate payers or get rate discounts e.g youth, disadvantaged, elderly Ok, so some people require spin doctors, but generally council people try to do a good job
