and thanks guys.....just another thing though...
what are your personal thoughts on rock climbing specifically as a 'spectator sport'? yes? no? it does increase it's popularity but loses some of the charm doesn't it? In the comps that i've been in, the atmosphere has been great but it's no comparison to climbing a cliff face outdoors with the sun on your back.

I guess then, why do i bother entering the comps? hmmmm...mostly for fun and the social aspect of the sport, but it's never really about the competing against other climbers...well for me anyway. as for the spectating part.... i'm not sure that climbing is properly suited to become a spectator sport. the challenge of the sport is against yourself and not a competitor...even in comp situations.

anyway that's what i think.
