160 years ago man burnt a negligible amount of fossil fuels ... partly because the world population was less than 20% of what it is now. Fossil fuel burning skyrocketed after 1945. Only the past 64 years has relevance to any claims of fossil fuel burning causing warming. Of course the rate of temperature increase declined after 1945.
