Probably a lot easier in general when your a female member of the species no doubt.
Then again when I go to the pub im in no mood to be trying to charm anyone. I want a cold beverage, a game of stick, some relaxed banter with my mates and maybe, just maybe the person that serves me my drink to smile at me. Not get into me every time I walk through the door. ( not even my mother in-law does that anymore)

No and occasionally the customer is rude and ignorant but we smile at them, try to educate them a bit about the product, smile some more, make a sale and think that person was the bigest F@#$wit I've seen all day then forget about it.
You definately dont argue with them and throw them out of the shop.
