A Katoomba neighbour (and friend) recently had a 1KW PV system installed. Their last electricity bill showed a credit. Private PV panels are a way of doing something right now, rather than waiting 5 years for the Evan's big solar thermal plant. Sorry, but that arguement sounds like 'why bother having a water tank, why not wait for the water companies to build a bigger reservoir or another desalination plant?'
