It is said that you can only truly live once you die. In that if you spend your lifetime worrying about your impeding death, living in fear then how can you say you lived a full life. On the other hand if you live life having accepted death, embracing all that it has to offer then it is a life fully lived.
Climbing I think forces people to face this head on and for the most part we look past it and climb on.
I think that is why a lot of people climb and partly why I climb, that and the exploration.
p.s. I think I'll have to use some of the one liners in this thread on facebook. |
