Rock had a list of Arapiles routes that it claimed were necky ( I don't remember what word they used actually but that's the upshot). The routes were Ride like the Wind, Delirium Tremens, Lois Lane, Tjuringa and Terminal Drive. Now I am a clumsy coward who hasn't done any of these but... who's done any of the following (hands up): Perry White; Elmer Thud; Run it out, sucker. It would seem that there are less glamorous routes that have more risk but what would I know... nucking fothing.

I know nothing: ... consequently there are not too many who would follow in my footsteps ...
Hmm; ... ~> maybe simey, but he is a guidebook author is he not, and that is their lot, ie to check out (at least visually verify the line), claimed routes for upcoming guidebooks?
