Toolondo was simply the best in summer. Swim and rest until late arvo then return to Araps for some early evening slabs on the Watchtower. Unfortunately like most of the Wimmeras lakes its now pretty much dry and dead. Popped in for a nostalgic visit a few months back while going cross country to Green Gap Pinnacle in the Grampians. The extension to the extension to the extension of the boat ramp sits happily in the dust. The fire water pond thing on the main road used to be OK if not a bit slimey.
