According to the IMDB site the plot is based on a difficult access worker working on powerlines around Sheffield falling in love with an Australian girl. There's a jealous boyfriend who walks off the job and an ex-wife who puts the boots in every now and again. So there's economics, lust, travel, family dysfunctionality and a rollicking good gritstone testpiece all thrown in together, and it's not directed by Ken Loach!
Wonder if the script was written by one the Vertigo boys?
