Not sure of the legalities of it all, but I have *heard* that Ricky track (from E to W) is good, Chinaman Track is OK, and also the loop down past bundaleer and the eastern walls. Don't ride the walking tracks - they are not really suitable anyway and you are sure to p*ss some of the walkers off. Tracks are rocky and/or sandy and sometimes steep unless you plan well. On some tracks there are some huge water bars to add some vertical component to your ride. There are better places to mountain bike, but if you're up for a challenge and are not too concerned about singletrack and technical riding then it is a good day out. Take plenty of water - the last ride I did was 9 hours and it was hard to find a drink along the way.
