Past NYE's at Arap's haven't exactly been quiet affairs. NYE 2001 or perhaps it was 2002 also featured a dance party in the picnic shelter. Not sure if this was publicised before hand, we found out about it when they started testing the sound equipment mid-afternoon. It was a great night though I'm sure not everyone in the campsite was impressed. Previous NYE's have seen less organized celebration but probably no less noise. Watch out for the knee-high pine bollards on your way back to the tent, not good for the knees. I wish I could be up there this year to whinge about the noise.
