I climbed "The Fear" many years ago now, but don't remember any aid at all, and very little choss either. The bolt was what I do remember, there were a few bolts on the aid ladder section that I free climbed, but they were all able to be used with standard plates, the bolt was the exception, it was huge and a plate won't fit on it, I just used a wire cinched up on it instead. The walk in on the fishermans ladder was another story..... it's made up of every conceivable piece of rubbish possible, including a stainless steel pig tail that spins 360 in the glue, rotting ladders tied to disintegrating ropes. The climb was fantastic, go and do it mulchy, you won't be disappointed !
