I don't know the grit too intimately but I felt very confident falling onto it(the flake on Parthion Shot).
Maybe they're very cautious or me a little ignorant but it certainly held. To me this route illustrates the
flaw to their system in the modern climbing world. For this system to be be indicative of the factors it
tries to explain, the E grade needs to be standard across different levels of difficulty and defined by the
likelihood of being f---ed up. Parthion Shot is E9 based on the speculation that the climbers wont trust
the flake and treat it like it is unprotected, thats funny.....
I really think the modern grit climbers should be attempting to keep the system relevant rather than what
seems like abusing it.... I'd be inspired by that approach.
