I agree you'd have to be mad to try a route like that without prior toprope rehersal. However, if nobody's ever going to do such routes without toproping them into submission what's the point in giving them an E grade, which is supposed to indicate how dangerous the route would be for somedboy to onsight? Above E10, you could pobably put any number you want after the E anbd it wouldn't matter because nobody's going to try and onsight them anyway.
