No no not at all. You see it is the thing that makes them special.
This way some one can find a tricky but not world class route and in most high E grade case's a pretty safe (safe as in the guys have fallen off the crux's, walked out had a chip buttie and a few pints and gone home otherwise healthy) route, use a grading system that sounds impressive and call it trad and earn a living pulling the wool over the punters eye's who believe what these guys are saying about their new 8c death route.
Somehow I can't imagine seeing Dave Macleod or James Pearson onsight soloing the same slippery 3 pitch granite corner that John Bachar did in the eighties, Moratorium 5.11slippery.
