As a teenager when i started climbing i spent a number of days each week hanging out at Lindfield aspiring to be anywhere near as strong and composed at this unlikely looking older guy who use to cruise all the hard classics and throw in some crazy high traverses. Bryden had the place wired and when i connected this guy to a name and then that name kept popping up in the guide books having being on the forefront for longer than i had been alive i didnt feel so bad being completely shown up by a 65 year old.

I was sad to hear a few years back when Bryden had a serious accident which i understand (correct me if i am wrong) left him a paraplegic. But he has no doubt continued to achieve exceptional things.

6 months ago i also had a serious accident which left me a paraplegic. I would love to be there and relive the lindfeild glory days but unfortunately i am out of the country (living in NZ).
