I live in Kensington - very close to the Edgewater lake one, and also right near the Footscray ones.

Tim, the Footscray ones are pretty average compared with Edgewater lake. Just keep riding another 5 minutes north and you'll get to it. It is good, but the landings are a little vegetated at some point. Very clean and continuous bluestone, though you may have to dodge some construction vehicles now that the estate is getting built.

In regards to Richmond Bridge though, it's close to work, the polished nature of the feet is superb for reproducing the marbled bums of Araps, and as Martin said, there's some nice established problems there in the harder grades to test yourself. 150m of grade 22 traversing isn't nearly as interesting as 20m of grade 27.
