Hi All,

A friend of mine gave her husband an introductory weekend climbing 'voucher' at the Araps (away from the kids) for Christmas and would like to know what is the best way to arrange this. She thought she'd send him off for an introduction to outdoor climbing, not a full on lead-climbing course, but to learn the ropes (seconding) and, as I suggested, hopefully get onto a couple of simple multi-pitch routes and take in some views.

Is there a way of doing this over a weekend, guides/courses and such, that doesn't cost the earth?!!

I'll be giving him a refresher on (indoor) belaying and climbing so he won't totally green. I could imagine that he would bring a friend too.

Any pointers or recommendations will be much appreciated.
