Hi Capt'n ... maybe you could try it like a 'work experience' thing for a couple of weeks. Get a bit of a feel for what it's like and then make a decision upon some first hand experience, before totally committing to major life changes. I s'pose things to consider would be : are you a people person ?, do you communicate well with general public, ? would you find satisfaction by being able to serve difficult customers even if they're complaining because the one in the catalouge was at leeeast half a shade Bluer ,? Adventure gear is cool stuff and it's allways great going into the shops but remember your position will be public relations. The best part about it would be you could make lots of friends by giving substantial discounts to Special people you like. Where's et at anyway ? ??But maybe you know all this . So I'd advise you follow your heart. Sounds like you the type of guy that makes things happen. Good luck with you choice.
