They never seem as sharp as they should be. Also the colour normally needs to be corrected slightly. Flatbed works well. I think mine is a canoscan 3200F and was about $180 - 3 or 4 years ago. Post edit: confirming that it is a 3200F. Not really using it now I have scanned the majority of my old slides. Maybe I should make it available for hire.
