take your time. the rock will be around longer than you either way. best if you can enjoy it for longer. i believe seconding a lot of different styles and grades of climbs with a number of different partners is a good way of seeing good and bad practices. that said people will have differing opinions about what is the best way to do things. they might all be right or wrong. this is where as in all aspects of climbing outdoors you will have to use your own judgement. don't be impatient and if people offer advice when you are out and about don't be defensive just listen and either take it on board or disregard it if you think it is bullshit. |
