This thread made me laugh so had to comment as it seems to have brought out the best (or worst) of how this forum works! ...I can see it now...Thesis executive summary.....After considerable investigation, interviews and observatins the on-line climbing environment appears to be populated by an unusal climbing species. These type of "climbers" seem determined to spend too much time on-line talking with hard to decipher messages on unrelated to climbing issues whilst trying to outdo each other with thread after thread after thread and reply after reply after reply with comical messages to various topics which actually in essence detract from the reason they exist which is to go climbing more often. Interestingly however once in a while they can at times offer some entertainment value and a great laugh. On the opposite extreme they can argue like hell and appear to want to literally tear each other apart when they disagree on various issues but then kiss and make up and all is forgoten and they move on to the next topic of discussion, debate and silliness. The grey hairs of the species are always keen to offer biased and opiniated advice to the younger new borns which shows no fear of following in the steps of the grey hairs........how interesting this project has been.....does the Darwinian anthopological model of evolution really also apply to this species?..how will they evolve next?.....will they grow extended forearms and fingers as a result of using keyboards too much?.....mmm...how simply astonishing all of this is....perhaps another range of thesis(es) might be required to answer all these amazing questions...
