St Kilda or Elwood if you want to be close to the beach and close to the city. It would be around 30 mins drive or bus to Clayton outside of peak hour. (There's a bus from Elwood beach to Monash Uni that goes up North Rd.)
Elsternwick or Glenhuntly gets you a little closer to Clayton and a little further from civilization. |
