bush camping as fire management. my 2c in Nat Parks allow the gathering of any wood smaller than the diameter of your little finger. this would remove a large fuel source for bushfires, yet have minimal impact on the environmental fallen wood ecology. with this stuff removed, leaves can fall on the ground and rot quicker and even if they're not rotting, they're being held off the ground by twigs and allowing air to feed the flames.
