Hadn't read this thread prior to putting up my Easter epic TR - but the major epic bit was due to not being able to find the Mt Rosea descent. Cairns are everywhere up there, as are ribbons on trees, but while I thought this was a climber's markings (having seen jgoding's ribbon markers in action on the cave cliff approach and knowing he was up at Rosea) we soon found out this marks the tourist path - I think PV must have been using it during works after the fires.
We made it harder for ourselves doing it at night, but given the amount of cairns around up there, some other sign could be very very useful. |
