I called in to Cataract Gorge over the weekend as I was in the area and had never been there before. A couple of groups were climbing on either side of the gorge. Pretty scenic spot with lots of short stuff on the tourist side and a few nice looking lines on the other.

I was however, rather surprised to see the bolting efforts on the tourist track side - No apparent attempt has been made to disguise the fixed hangers which are all very shiny and all very close to the track - remembering that a lot of the short climbs appear to start from the track itself, surely some effort to camouflage the gear would have been a good idea?

There are 2 shiny fixed hangers and a headless dynabolt that appear to have been put in as bolting practice at about head height that greet you as you enter the gorge too. Pretty ugly stuff:
