My comment that I liked mixed routes was a comment on style. The current fashion (like flares or straightleg) is to comfortise and there's alot to be said for it (it's bolted because I want to see people use it) but it also starts to kill things (that little something) when an 18 is sport bolted and good trad gear is overlooked.
It was interesting to note a recent comment from Sharma that he thought the future was hard and run out with big fall potential. Maybe he's even getting sick of all the bolts. |
