I have just finished a transendental meditation course that work made me do (interestingly, transendental meditation is a bit like fight club, your not allowed to talk about it or describe it, I suspect because its a bit of a sacred cash cow). From what ive been taught, a large component of meditation is physical / energy recovery by the lowering of the metabolic rate to a level lower than what occurs even in sleep. This obviously doesnt occur when climbing! Ive always though climbing is a fantastic way to refresh yourself mentaly by escaping from everyday stresses and relate totaly to what cruze is saying.
