Trad climbing is:
1) Picking a strategy from the ground
2) Finding stances to place gear/de-pump
3) Hangin in there and dealing with the run out
Gym Simulation:
1) Pick a route at your limit (endurance, power, etc)
2) Pick a minimum time you will stay on the route (15-20 mins)
3) Skip the last bolt (if the fall is safe) and go for the chains when you are pumped stupid.
I just thought of this - what a great way to train for trad season!
Look for my next instructional DVD..."Brad's Bastard Class".
