Hi JBM
This might sound a bit simple but I've often found the best training has turned out to be doing the sport itself - and frequently. When I've been trying to train the core in particular, I'd focus on both roof endurance and balency slabs. Sometimes you find that you train off the rock, doing these wonderful exercises which turn out to help a bit overall (particularly with aerobic fitness and endurance) but are not quite as effective when directed (ie core focus). |
