Whose going to Nationals this weekend?

Super Saiyan
6:40:52 AM
Is anyone else heading up? Im flying out on Jetstar tonight, and back Monday morning...

9:07:53 AM
hmm i was thinking the other how much i missed comp climbing. good fun that was. have to put some effeort in next year. good luck man!
9:39:31 AM
Be interesting to see what the routes are like with the legendary Jacky Godoffe setting (Along with Simon Stevens, Steve Gardener, and Jahn the strong Czech amongst others)

7:42:12 PM
You just can't please some cynics. Sport Climbing Aust is investing in the sport by getting one of the legends out here, to develop our local setters, who are more than happy to contribute something to the cost.

"learn nothing"? Samr, anonymity suits you.

9:01:34 PM
Whoever is getting paid Samr, it's no one in the SCA! i can attest to that from my 4+ years work for
the volunteer association.

Learn nothing?! I don't think Jacky would be too happy at that and I guarantee all route setters in
attendance will strongly disagree with you. The accreditation allows them to route set at a World Cup
standard which gets them paid in handsome Euros. all the feedback i have is positive.

James G. - would be good to see you back at some comps. We need more Victorians getting in to it.
Big props to Ambia Scott, The Melder family, James Flanagan and the others i've missed for making the
trip up. And well done to both of them for the climbing on the first day of competition.

Hope to see you all at the Victorian State Bouldering competition, where the
SCA volunteers will be putting in another big effort.

Chris Hampton.

yea hanging out for a states next year. hoping that someone will put up their hand or others will begin to apply some pressure to the vic gyms! ah well when Oceania is next in NZ (which i believe is next year) i may well put some effort into getting myself there - a good excuse to get over and start exploring!!
appreciate the work you guys do but from a competitors point of view i really wish there were at least some low key comps around just to mess about with but when no one wants host of course there isn't much that can be done!

11:10:50 PM
is this the comp @ st peters? ill be there tomorrow chillin & cheerin
but right now it is bondi skating time, seeyall

9:44:49 PM
Thought it was you at the comp today Josh. didn't recognise you after you chopped off your mop since
we met at Escalade. Get any good shots?

5:35:21 PM
nah not really haha, i just got a few average ones before i got bored & went bouldering

actually i take that back, it was my mates bday at argyle (in the rocks) last night, we did lots of good shots! unfortunately she couldnt handle her liquor and ended up getting kicked out around 3. great night anyway!

12:38:49 AM

thanks for all of your hard work today, this last weekend, and all of the preparation towards this event - it was super!
definitely do some cross country mtbiking when you come down to melbs! i'm a bit crap on the downhill these days! so stick to the easier stuff!!!!
have a long deserved rest from all of the organising now!
11:55:33 AM
Congratulations big time to Rob Lebreton for winning the mens comp on the weekend. Legendary stuff; one for us old farts! Bloody impressive I reckon for him to come back after so many years and win a comp like that. I'm inspired and stoked for Rob at the same time.

9:04:51 PM
yeh it was pretty sweet to see the old fella climb so well, climbed past both BC & mr webb. solid as.
also an unsurprising mention to sam berry- she friggen killed it again, hung in there through a massively pumpy long route & got within 2 moves of topping out. inspiring effort.

(btw, good to see you again ambia!)

8:51:52 AM
