Hi,

I agree with Neil - Arapiles is the best place to learn easy trad. Bundaleer also has a few you might like to consider. Summer Day Valley in the Northern Grampians surely must rate. there is a really good grade 10 on the main wall (left end - just can't remember the name). Nice and steep and well protected. Very unusual for a 10 (and it's 3 stars too!).

There is actually a bit of an "un-sung" mid grade classic area called "Hollywood Bowl" (main wall) in the Victoria Range of the grampians (near Mt Fox). The other place is "Emu Rock" which is very close by. There is a good on-line guides to both areas here:

If you are looking for another very good venue you might like to consider Moonarie - approx 12 hours from Arapiles and around 6 hours North of Adelaide. There are a bunch of multi-pitch mid-grade (i.e. 14-19 there which are really very good).

I would suggest getting your skills together first (at Arapiles) and then try Moonarie - it's not really the ideal place to be learning to get your shit together as you can get into big trouble on multi-pitch trad.
