Bundaleer Re-opening and Work Party 28-Jul-2007 At 11:03:51 PM safer cliffs vic

SCV did a full visual inspection of the Bundaleer cliff line on saturday.

Overall the cliff has fared very well post-fires. There is only one route that has any sign of blackness
or fire damage. This is the first 5m of Genisis, and the only minor damage is several very small flakes
that exfiolated from the wall. This damage did not effect hand or footholds, or trad gear placments. The
rest of the cliff apears to be un-touched from the fire, and ALL bolts are in the same condition as pre-
fire. There is no major damage to fixed slings or pitons. There is no major damage to any routes trad
protection. Pretty much, the cliff is the same clifff it was in 2005.

SCV also removed the unnecessary yellow tape markers on the access trail, as this track is bloody
obvious!

There is at least three new looking 'aboriginal art' motifs drawn in orche in the cave under Manic
Depressive. They are of stick man, a snake and a swirly pattern. This didn't exsist before 2005. Are
these someones idea of a joke or are they something that has been added by the aboriginal
community? Personally, i found the whole wooden cairn, large sign and wooden walkways a lot more
confronting and obstrusive than the old rock cairn. How this is an improvement baffles me?
