What price for a sense of irony?

Let's revisit the facts:

1. The development of the Youies as a climbing venue was greatly aided by the fires that went through there in the eighties. Except for the rampant Boneseed, the place is in a pretty good state today.

2. I did not suggest that climbers run off and burn down Araps, although the place could be developed somewhat.

3. The point of my post was to simply illuminate the fact that sometimes events that are perceived as being harmful to the environment and certain persons (etc) can have beneficial outcomes. I don't know enough about what happened in the Gramps to be able to discuss what happened there, but let's not dogmatically believe that every fire is a disaster for the natural environment.
