Controlled Burn in Vic Ranges, Grampians |

I can't understand the burning of massive areas of bushland. Corridors near housing sure, but regularly burning the whole state is lunacy, pure over reaction. Not only will it limit habitat for animals but it also ends up eliminating any plant that doesn't cope well with fire. And at the end of doing all this burning if we got the freak conditions that brought about the canberra tragedy it may make very little difference. |
