So I read the missing uni banner thread, and I am well aware of the (not so loving)attitudes of some chockstone viewers towards uni clubs.
But, with my mates not keen on outdoor pursuits and after having a not so joyous experiences with a hiking club full of middle-agers, am wondering if it may be worthwhile having a look at one of the uni outdoor clubs - for both climbing and other outdoorsy type activities.
Would imagine quite a few of you started your climbing careers in one of these clubs....any thoughts on which is better (if you can put aside your home uni bias), the people (many non-students?), the activities, the vibe? |
