this does sound weired, look at the reasons whay (from the brochure on the Vic Parks website): To enable Parks Victoria to manage activities occuring in our parks and to protect natural and cultural values. • To protect the interests and experiences of park visitors. • To direct filming and photography activities to the most suitable places. • To ensure that activities in parks are carried out with appropriate risk management procedures and insurance cover. Sounds a bit over the top to apply to the amatuer-casual photographer. I wonder if any one has really been fined over this and the question been actually tested?
