I know next to nothing about the totem pole and trying to get onto a carrot bolt belay mid flight, but would it be easier to try and hook onto one of the carrot bolts with a wire, instead of a bolt plate as you are swinging across to get established? and then put a bolt plate onto the other bolt and clip into it whilst temporarily clipped onto the first bolt with the wire. im sure you have all tried this or various other options, but i just thought of it and thought id mention it. hope it made sense.
like i said i know snitch about the tote so please dont hang me.
like u said neil, if someone left some tat it would be a lot easier for all. |
