I know this is a very late reply, but I was recently in Railay, and had to drive through Krabi/Ao Nang. I'm please to say that most things are rebuilt, and life seems to have restored. Amazing what mankind is capable of after such a disaster. I also had the previlege of climbing in Railay w/ Hot Rock, and it was spectacular. I definately recommend it.
