This has actually bugged me recently in emails from friends (which are more commonly using the term now as I've just moved to Syd), so hopefully this thread can sort it out once and for all! (Cause forums are so good at achieving consensus...)
I thought the rule was "drop the 'y' add 'ies'". We're talking about a plural form of 'bluey/bluie' here. No matter which of those you think is correct, the plural is 'bluies'. (can't imagine that you keep the 'e' in bluey when you drop the 'y').
You'd use "bluey's" if you meant the posessive of bluey, but I can't see how blueys can ever be right.
I love this pedantic grammar sh*t...
