Cliffhanger will hire out "non life support" gear - we have shoes (including good models like Anasazi's etc), Helmets, Ice Axes, Crampons. No ropes or harnesses or belay devices - too hard to monitor what's happened to them. We used to hire the life support gear if it was on a cliffhanger outdoor trip or course, but we stopped those as the Public Liability Insurance was about double what we actually earned out of the trips in 2003/4!
