I have travelled around the world with climbing gear and bicycles, sometimes both. First ask about golf clubs, if they go as sporting goods. Then if they go on about your gear claim sporting goods and are they discriminatory with various sports. With my climbing gear (carry on) 1/ pack your nut tool in your suit case 2/ Your carry on bag must fit in those little frames. 3/ It was 7kg max for hand luggage, check 4/ I have got away with 21kg hand luggage! (do not put in over head compartments) 5/ get there early. Have fun. I know of someone wrapping two ropes around their waist, under their shirt.
