For myself-it has alot to do with the way the tibetans live and exist together,i suppose it is a way of life that many humans ,including myself,wish we could acheive oneday.

As for the stunning landscape-that has absolutly no meaning/relevance.
Obviously most of the users on this forum are climbers and there for we are more likely to of read books like "seven years in Tibet ","storms of silence" etc which gives us a knowledge of the tibettan people -(from a climbers perspective) possibly more so then most of the other countries/nations you mentioned,and therefore a liking/fondness.

I hope oneday im as lucky as people like Climboholic to have spent time with these people,and to of learnt somthing from them.

Yeah there is alot of bad things in this world other than this ongoing issue,but one thing poeple like M9iswhereitsat dont need is a REALITY CHECK by you.
