bolt araps, trad is for wimps. atleast this way if your not confident placing trad gear. you still have atleast some pro in. it might sound dumb but it will solve the injury problems. no one taught me how to place gear, i taught myself all of my mates were ring freaks so i had to teach myself. if i didnt trust my gear then i would place it better, put in another piece or take a fall on it to see if it held. dont get me wrong trad is great i love it, but i think for the bumbles if your not confident and know what grades your climbing at it can be deadly.
