I climb with a set of Kong Chocks.
Definitely get the whole set in one whack. You'll save a lot and you'll want the whole range.
You say that you realise that the sizes will be specific to a certain area. I disagree. In my experience, when it comes to nuts its always worth having the whole range of sizes to choose from.
The nice things about the Kong set are: cheap (~$130 for all 13), comes with keynose racking biner, colour coded (once you're familiar can go straight to the one you want). Haven't come across any negatives. They're a great 'first purchase' - for what isn't a whole lot of money, it'll really open up your options when it comes to climbs. |
