I've walked in the LRG years ago but not climbed. From memory, the rock is very hard and clean, but there's a fair bit of loose rock and not a lot of natural lines. There's so much rock there that it can't all be bad.
Although it's a long way from Melbourne, the cliff tops are easy to reach from the road, so just take plenty of rope and abseil in.
I'd recommend making a long weekend of it and taking a drill. Start at the LRG lookout region. Also, take a look at Hanging Rock which is off the side of Worlds End Spur a few km to the north. Reasonable camping at the Little River Bridge.
